Special Commission Meeting

November 27, 2018

The Port of Grays Harbor Special Commission Meeting on November 27, 2018 was called to order at 2:58 p.m.

Leonard Barnes, Executive Deputy Director led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PROCEDURAL DISCUSSION:
After introductory remarks, Commissioners Pinnick and Papac recessed the meeting to an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the qualifications of applicants for the vacancy on the Port Commission.

RECESS TO EXECUTIVE SESSION 3:05 p.m.

MEETING RECONVENED 3:35 p.m.

DISCUSSION:
Port Commissioner Pinnick thanked all the applicants who applied for the position and stated that he was pleased with all of their qualifications. Commissioner Papac agreed with Mr. Pinnick on the applicants and their qualifications.

Commissioner Papac put forth the name Tom Quigg for appointment as Port Commissioner for District 2. Stan Pinnick agreed with Commissioner Papac’s recommendation that Tom Quigg be appointed Commissioner for District 2.

ACTION ITEM:
A motion to direct the Port Staff to place on the December 11, 2018 agenda a resolution appointing Tom Quigg to be the Port Commissioner for District 2 effective December 11, 2018 made by Commissioner Papac and seconded by Commissioner Pinnick. Motion passed with a vote of 2-0.

The Special Meeting adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
