Aberdeen, WA – The Port of Grays Harbor has received a clean audit opinion for calendar year 2025 from the Washington State Auditor’s Office (SAO). Taking fiscal responsibility seriously, the Port’s audit team is pleased to share that the SAO has issued its reports on the financial statements and federal awards of the Port of Grays Harbor for 2025, citing no instances of noncompliance, deficiencies or findings resulting in another clean audit for the Port. The SAO will conduct the 2025 accountability audit of the Port of Grays Harbor later this fall.

The financial statement audit reviewed the Port’s internal controls over financial reporting and compliance, while the federal program awards audit examined the Port’s management of major federal grant awards totaling more than $21 million from the Federal Aviation Administration for taxilane improvements at Bowerman Airport, the U.S. Department of Transportation for repaving of Port Industrial Way, and the Maritime Administration for the Terminal 4 Expansion & Redevelopment Project, the largest infrastructure project in Port history. The audit concluded that the Port materially complied with applicable state and federal laws, regulations and its own policies thereby providing adequate controls over the safeguarding of public resources.
