From fishing and boating to hiking and picnicking, it is time to get outside and Friends Landing is open and ready to meet all of your recreational needs!  March 15th marked the opening of camping season. Friends Landing offers 18 RV sites with electrical and water hookups as well as 10 tent sites with water available. With record RV camping nights in 2020, guests are encouraged to make their online reservations early at friendslanding.org.

Located just outside of Montesano, Friends Landing offers 152 acres of recreation opportunities on the Chehalis River. From fishing and boating to hiking and picnicking, there is something for everyone. 

With two fishing shacks along the river & piers and trail access on the lake, Friends Landing has excellent fishing access. In the river, there is sturgeon fishing year-round. When salmon are running there is great fishing from the pier or in your boat. Lake Quigg has several piers and floating docks which allow for easy access to seasonal fishing or just nature watching.

There are two boat launches providing access to the Chehalis River and Lake Quigg. Parking for boat trailers is available between the boat launches.

$3 per day
$50 calendar year pass

Hosting a family reunion? Maybe a company picnic? Friends Landing has two large picnic shelters that are available for free on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Friends Landing has a 1.7 mile paved & bridged hiking trail around Lake Quigg that takes you through wetland marsh, woods, meadow, and more. There are several interpretive signs and viewing docks to guide your trip. Don’t forget your binoculars! Birdwatchers may see bald eagle, osprey, Canada goose, kingfisher, cormorant, steller's jay, and many kinds of duck, woodpeckers, hawks, and songbirds.
