2026 | Westport Marina Summer Updates

Happy Summer, from the Westport Marina

As we head into the busiest and brightest months of the year, we’re excited to welcome everyone back to the waterfront. Summer brings increased activity, vibrant energy, and a shared responsibility to keep our marina safe, clean, and operating smoothly. Please take a moment to review important updates, reminders, and ongoing efforts that help make Westport Marina a great place for all. Your cooperation and communication go a long way in supporting our operations and community. Thank you for being part of the marina!

Dock Clean-Up Reminder

It’s dock clean-up time!

Only dock steps, hoses, and mooring lines are allowed in your stall; all other items must be removed. Gear, totes, chairs, tables, and any miscellaneous extras create safety hazards, impede access for other users, and interfere with marina operations. Items left in violation of these rules will be tagged and subject to removal . Any removed items can be retrieved by contacting the Marina Office. Help us keep docks safe, clear, and accessible for everyone by taking care of your space right away.

To review what is allowed on the docks, visit the Westport Marina Tariff HERE.

Rules & Safety Reminders

Please follow all marina rules to keep everyone safe and respectful of shared space:

  • Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after (no roaming pets on docks).

  • Boats are private property – do not board or tie off without permission.

  • Floats are open dawn to dusk only – no after-hours access.

  • No fish carcasses in the basin or dumpsters (use designated disposal methods).

  • Yield to vessels at all times – boats have priority in the marina.

  • Do not feed sea lions – it creates dangerous behavior.

  • No bikes or skateboards on docks for safety reasons.

  • For a full rundown of marina rules and expectations, review the Westport Marina Tariff found HERE.

Tariff Changes & Updates

This year brings important updates to the marina tariff, including our first rate adjustment in 30 years. Beginning July 1, 2026, moorage rates will increase through a planned three-year phase-in starting from $4.44 per foot per month (including tax), with distinct rates for working and recreational vessels.  Now, all working vessels must provide proof of classification—whether commercial fishing, charter (traditional or 6-pack), support, or recreational. Updates also include revised transient moorage rates, waitlist and placement policies, and a new Working Vessel Relief Rate for eligible applicants. The moorage cancellation reinstatement fee has increased from $100 to $250, and subleasing language has been simplified for clarity. Please review the full tariff for detailed information HERE.

Summer Projects & Improvements

While summer is peak season for moorage, it is also a critical time for completing maintenance and improvement projects throughout the marina. These projects ensure long-term safety, reliability, and usability of our facilities. We sincerely appreciate customers who help by relocating vessels when needed and responding promptly to calls and emails. Your cooperation allows us to complete work efficiently and minimize disruption during a very busy time. These improvements benefit everyone who uses the marina. Thank you for your continued support.

Fishermen Fridays

We’re happy to continue Fishermen Fridays throughout the summer! Stop by, connect with fellow boaters, and enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut on us. It’s a great way to start the day and build community on the docks.

We also want to hear from you—bring your comments, ideas, questions, or concerns and chat with marina staff. Whether you have feedback, suggestions, or just want to catch up, it’s a great chance to connect. Join us for a cup of coffee—we look forward to seeing you each week!
